When you know that your liver is genetically modified (see testing on mice) by eating this stuff and that you can't digest your food as well as before, i'm really sorry but I will NOT eat that stuff and WILL pay more for organic food.

Genetically modified foods are a disgrace to man kind. The advancement of science towards gmo's are unnatural and honestly to artificial. Yah gmo's might help world hunger but no one knows the side effects and what the long term effects are. There is not enough evidence to support gmo's. Bigger isn't always better.

All I have to say is I don't eat at KFC, or fast food in general; I don't know if it's true but I heard the KFC 'chickens' are really genetically modified organisms, the genetically modified ones don't really look like chickens at all, they have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet and are engineered for less bone structure and as much meat as possible... truth is stranger than fiction, but I'm not 100% on this being a fact...

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be commenting on the content or construction. Construction: It's boring. Some people's comments are too long for the time allowed, some comments are lingered upon. Content: I'm not really interested in seeing the comments of ignorant people. Democracy doesn't work in science; every comment is not equally valid. What is the goal of this video? It's not to make people aware of the issue, it's only to make people aware of the lay man's thoughts. I see no purpose to this other than to expose ignorance.

No seeds, I mean no seeds! That is just great!

If my stomach is saying yes, I have no qualms.

The modification of food is as old as time. Once we started growing our own crops, we started to figure out ways to get our crops to grow taller, bigger, and tastier. This is just an obvious extension of that age-old practice. The danger though, comes in this new form of modification. We as humanity enter an area where small mistakes can have large impacts, and we do enough bad as it is. Food is as close to man as light is to the sun. A very controlled system has to be in place and it has to be closely watched. I dont really want to be eating an apple and start tripping on some acid. Well, maybe I do.

I think genetically modified food is a good thing. It gives people nutrients that they might not get and help people in other nations. It gives the food more punch for its dollar. Just hopefully people know the long term side effects, if there are any.

I believe that ethics and genetics must always maintain a symbiotic relationship...but I'll let the smart people make the decisions.

Hmm...I guess we eat them all the time and really, who wants to pay $10 more for the "good stuff"??? If we could all eat organic food all the time, it would be great. But it just doesn't seem possible...

When it comes to consuming goods, you are going to cause harm. Organic food is inefficent; farmers have to till larger areas of land adding to an alread massive deforestation of the world. But then corporate farms though more efficient with smaller farms and more yield put pesticides and chemicals into the food that get into the water, etc. And there are environmental and economical problems with Local and Fairtrade foods. Genetically engineered food is just another player in the "How Good/Bad Is This Idea?" game.

Genetics is extremely powerful and it's uses are many. When used respectfully and responsibly, good things can happen. I say it's a usage to usage question that needs to be taken seriously each time. No sweeping action could or should be taken against or for genetically modified foods...perhaps what we need is simply a heightened awareness of them and a keener eye for what the consequences of their processes might be.

Good for them.

I don't like them..but we have no option but to eat them since most of the food around us is genetically modified in some way or the other, isn't it?
-Jinita Shah
I don't have an opinion one way or another.

Any domesticated food is genetically modified. Wild almonds are poisonous. We can simply do it faster nowdays.

I don't like them.

I have no problem with it. Needs checks and balances though.
